'Help me take a Snapchat video and I’ll jump': Teen's final words before shopping mall death leap

These tragic images capture a teenager before he accidentally leapt to his death at a shopping mall.
Jonathan Chow, 17, suffered fatal injuries after jumping over a barrier and falling four floors at a shopping centre in Singapore.
It had been believed the teen may have been trying to retrieve a phone.
But CCTV footage later emerged showing him talking to a girl who gets out her phone shortly before he jumped.

The pair were captured chatting on CCTV before the tragedy
Jonathan Chow asked his friend to film him on Snapchat before jumping
The girl, named by local news outlet TODAY as Ruth, confirmed he had asked her to film him for a Snapchat video.
"We both thought the ledge was made of concrete, but when he jumped, he fell straight through," Ruth said.
"I knew it was dangerous, but before I could stop him, he already jumped over."
The last thing Jonathan apparently said was: "Help me take a Snapchat video and I'll jump."
The teenager had recently returned from studying in Australia and had plans to do National Service in Singapore.
